The Royal Oak

The Oak is now a landlord-owned Free House, currently serving home-cooked bar meals and local ales; the new refurbished restaurant opens in September. All welcome – including dogs (please keep on a lead, while in the garden... for the sake of the children).

The large garden runs down to the village stream and is the setting for village fetes, barbecues and functions. In summer, the thatched rumshack (erected to the memory of a Caribbean-loving local) serves cocktails al fresco.

The Oak is open every day until 11.00pm... ish.
